I am so excited today. Not only am I launching my waistcoats but I am also getting ready to go out to the Galway Races in Ballybrit. I am the Guest judge this year and I could not be more excited. As I said many times, Galway was the platform for me and certainly helped me to gain the profile that I now have. I cannot believe that it has been nine years since I won. It feels like yesterday genuinely. I love fashion as you all know and I cannot wait to see all the style out in Ballybrit today. What makes it even better is that I am judging alongside Mandy Maher & Niamh from Ella & Jo. We are great friends so the banter will be brilliant. For me Galway always has the best style of all the Ladies Days. I am hoping the weather stays good now. I have to be out there at 10.00am and it will be a long day but I am doing what I love best. Linda & Chelsea are also coming out with me so guaranteed fun will be had. Keep an eye on my stories today and I will bring you along with me. We came up to Galway last night as we had an early start  this morning with hair and makeup. I love my dress and hat and can’t wait to share it all with you. I think it’s a very “me” dress. Timeless and elegant and very Ladies Day I think. Let the fun begin.

I have so much going on at the moment but the house is nearly there. You know the way you are almost 95% there and it is all the little bits now to tie it altogether. I love it and I sit there on my own sometimes and just take it all in. We needed space so badly and now at long last I have it. When you work from home it is great to be able to keep everything together and also to be able to close the door on it when I am finished each day. I am loving the  garden and the colours and the planting. I have to wait until November to plant the trees but they assure me that they are growing in the Netherlands. You know me, no patience I need everything done straight away but as they say good things are worth waiting for.  I am beyond thrilled with the house and hope to move in after I get home from my annual Birthday Trip to Boston. September is a good time to move in. I always feel that January is a bit like September, almost a reset month. The kids are all back in school and  College and routines are coming back into play. I fly out to Nadine and Peter for the last two weeks in August. Those of you following me for a while will know that I go out every year at this time. It is home from home for me and I am always made to feel so welcome. Chris is coming out with me this year so I am delighted about that. I am trying to convince him to stay the two weeks, but let’s see… At least he is coming out with me. He has holiday days to take so it has all worked out.

We had the best weekend in Italy. Lucca was fabulous and we went to see Simple Minds in the square. It was surreal and an amazing place for a concert. So small and intimate and the Hotel was literally just across the road. We cycled around Lucca which was amazing and then drove to Siena. On the way over to Siena we visited Volla Polozzi. It is a vineyard in the Chianti region and it was amazing. It is located high up in the rolling hills of Tuscany. It was blow away and was a real highlight for me. The Tour Guide was amazing and so knowledgeable on the region’s wines. We had a lovely tasting too and sure managed to order a few bottles as well. We then drove on to Siena City. We stayed very centrally and walked and walked. It is a stunning City and so easy to walk around. We managed 22,000 steps a day. We had a walking tour on Sunday and a pasta and dessert class on Monday which was also brilliant. The Italians have such a relaxed way of life. You have to slow down over there and go at an Italian pace which is a lot slower than ours. The food was really amazing also. We ate very healthily and the produce was just so fresh and the  colours were all so vibrant. I would just love to be able to get those cherry tomatoes here that are so sweet and fresh in Italy. I would highly recommend Lucca & Siena but you do need a car to get around. We flew around in the car rental and it all worked out so well. We will visit next year again and really want to see the Siena Palio. We learned so much about it over the few days. The main square is amazing with free outdoor events every night. It really was like a fairy tale.

July was a whirlwind! We launched our brand-new Sol Luxe suncare range, and the response has been incredible. I keep hearing how much you love the Aftersun — especially its serum-like texture — and many of you are using it day and night. I absolutely love this feedback. The UV Primer also landed with a bang. I had a feeling it would rival the success of Skin Luxe, and I wasn’t wrong — I’m obsessed and so are you!  I’m always nervous until I see your responses and it makes me so proud to see the 5 star reviews coming in.

Then came Anti-Redness primer, a product close to our hearts. So many of you reached out asking for something to help with redness, and while I don’t experience it myself, Úna does — and that made the creation process incredibly focused and personal. We can’t promise a medicated solution for rosacea, but for general redness — from patches to high colouring — this primer is proving to be a total game-changer. Some of you say, you don’t have much redness but you’re loving it as a primer because it leaves the skin with a beautiful glow. Your reviews have been amazing.

We also just launched the pre-order for our new and improved Skin Luxe shades — Light Neutral and Medium Deep. These have been a labour of love, and they took time to perfect. Originally, we only planned to add a Medium, but you were so passionate about this formula, we knew we had to deliver the perfect match for more of you.

And now… August! It’s come waaay too soon. Our gorgeous two-tier Make-Up Bag lands later this month (and yes, new versions are already in the works!). Behind the scenes, August is a major planning month as we gear up for a very exciting Christmas — so stay tuned, because the best is yet to come. Of course as always, I’ll be showing you along the way.

L’ANDCO launched this month and I could not be prouder. Chris and I have been working on this for quite some time now. As I said they were to be male but when I tried them I could see that they were actually unisex. I love glasses and we both felt it was a great product to launch with. They will land in mid September which is really only six weeks away and I cannot wait for them to land. Chris loves his fashion just as much as I do and it is really nice for us both to be able to work together on this brand. He is working away on a few more launches before Christmas so I will keep  you updated.

Linda was telling me the other days that some schools are starting back on August 21st. Gosh, it is getting earlier and earlier every year. I am also conscious that August always means Leaving Cert results and college places. Good luck to all the daughters and sons and remember it does not define you. Enjoy the last few weeks of the Summer Holidays girls and sure I will be on with the chats as always.
