Autumnal October
by Lisa McGowan
Hello Hello,
October has landed and I will say it again, that was one fast month. We are all more or less settled into the new routines now with the kids a month back to school. It is all about the cosy nights now and shorter evenings. Time to start picking out new TV shows. I am not a fan of the short and dark evenings but it is what it is and I just have to get on with it like us all.
I had the best weekend in London last week. It is such a great City. There is just so much to do and see. It has been a long time since I had been to London but I won’t leave it as long the next time. We walked and walked and ate and shopped. The tour of Buckingham Palace was great fun and it was great to get inside for a look. I would highly recommend it to anybody planning a visit. I think it closes at the end of September and reopens next Summer. Pop it on the list if you are planning a visit. The Hotel we stayed in was really lovely too. I was dangerously close to Selfridges which is never good lol. It is an amazing store to be fair and huge with everything under the one roof. Another must visit if you are planning a trip. We were spoiled for choice but back to the grind now as they say.
Once October hits it is almost and I hate to say it but the roll into the “C” word looms. I can see followers shopping already… The very planned followers have started and are messaging me to let me know what they are getting. The next few months are super busy between clothing, cosmetics and my loyal brands that I work with on a monthly basis. The website is now completely full for the rest of the year and I have amazing offers to share with you throughout the month. Tomorrow October 2nd I am up in Trim working with Helen and the team from Nina’s. I am hosting their Autumn/Winter fashion event alongside my friend Mandy Maher in the Knightsbrook Hotel. Mandy and I hosted the event online last year but this year there will be a live audience but it will also be live on my insta stories. Keep an eye out. There will be lovely looks and I will haggle with her for the discounts as only I can. I am looking forward to it now. It should be great fun.
We launched the quarter zips last Friday in the white and petrol blue. I knew they would be popular but didn’t expect them to sell out that quickly. As I was saying we are all ready now for the warm clothing and for layering. I am really hoping to have the fleece tops in before Christmas also. The hats and scarves sets have just come back into stock yesterday girls. I am delighted to get them nice and early this year. They are available to buy now in the camel, charcoal and Winter white. They are so beautiful and dress up every outfit. I have them styled with my new soon to launch wool coats. Take a look at the website images for some inspo. CLICK HERE TO BUY.
Girls… the Disco tops have also landed into the Country. It is time to add the sparkle lol… I love, love these tops. I have them going on sale this Friday, October 4th in both the white and the black. They can be dressed up for a very glam look or equally worn with jeans for a more casual look. I will do a full try on for you prior to going on sale. Toward the end of the month my cami tops in black and in white will be launching. They are the “perfect” cami. They fit great, they have good weight to them with just the right amount of lace detail and just the right length. Perfect again for casual or dressy. The shirts will also be launching this month. The green and white stripe along with the charcoal and white stripe. My shirts always fly out the door and judging by the reaction to my poll these ones will too. They are a gorgeous colour, perfect for this time of the year. Lots more sparkles are coming in November just in time for Party season so I will be able to tell you all about that in November’s newsletter.
My Mascara is launching later this month Girls, keep an eye out for an exact date. For my debut Mascara called Fake It Til You Make It, I wanted to make sure it was a one suits all formula. And I really think we’ve achieved it. You have all noticed my lashes since I’ve been wearing it and some of you have asked me have I had lash extensions! lol. But they are all mine with help from my mascara.
I had a long day in Dublin this week and had it on from 7am until late that night- not one flake or smudge! It’s exactly what I wanted from a mascara and as you know, I’ve tried them all down through the years! It needed to be volumising and give a thicker, stronger lash effect. It needed to be hydrating but non clumping, smudge proof and long wearing, but at the same time, easy to remove. Fake It Til You Make It is 100% vegan and made with 85% natural ingredients! Launching in two shades; black and brown, I truly believe this is a mascara you won’t want to be without. I’m super excited for this!
We are also delighted to share some great news. We are popping up again. Newbridge was such a huge success and I know so many of you loved it. We have decided to go again for three days only. The pop up will be in Fashion City in Ballymount in Dublin. I am very aware that lots of you will want to visit so I was anxious to confirm a date to allow you all book the day out. We will be opening as follows;
- Friday, November 29th: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday, November 30th: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Sunday, December 1st: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Our 100% wool coats and leather belts will make their debut exclusively at the pop-up. I really wanted to launch the coats in the show room to allow you all to try them on. The coats are just beautiful and are available in three colours, red, camel and black. They are double breasted and belted. It is a coat you will have for years and its timeless girls. I am genuinely so excited to let you see them and to try them on with you. I just know you are going to love them. The quality is out of this world. I worked super hard on getting them right for over a year and now I have them just perfect. We will also have other pieces from the Lisa & Co. collection in the pop up depending on what is left by then. The products are flying out the door thankfully.
The house is flying along. The outside plastering has finished now which is great. The builders were delighted to get that finished before the weather really turns. Big focus on the internals and we are flying along. All good things come to those who wait as they say. By nature I have no patience so this has taught me a lot on that front let me tell you. We are hoping now for a February move in date but that could move by a few weeks. Either way by the Spring we will be in and I cannot wait.
That’s about all my news but I will be chatting to you all later on.
Lisa Xx
What’s New for October?
I decided this month to change up the fashion blog a little, Change is as good as a rest as they say. We have Pamela Scott as the feature boutique this month and guess what? Yes indeed it will be the jeans that you all went mad for last month when I tried them on. Richard had dropped them down to me but I had to give them back as they were the only pair he had. I nearly wrestled him to keep them no joke lol… The amount of messages I received on them so I know you are all going to love them. The current shape in denim is so much more flattering to every figure. Long may it last girls.
