Happy Bank Holiday Weekend, Girls!

Once the May weekend arrives, I always feel Summer has begun. Here we go and let’s hope for good weather. I have to say, even a little bit of sun gives us all a pep in our step. It just makes you happy. You get out walking more and ultimately it just puts you in a better mood, doesn’t it? April literally just flew by; it was gone in the blink of an eye. I was working ahead this morning and told the girls here that its almost June. Half the year is nearly gone already. I really think the older you get the faster the years go by or maybe that’s all in my head but I do feel it.

April was a busy month! We were delighted to have Peter home. We had great fun cooking pizzas and making cocktails at home. It is lovely to be able to entertain now. I could never do that in the old house but now I have the space. I love having him over as do Mam & Dad. It’s a pity they live so far away. He is back again in July for another visit. I am going on my annual August trip to them again this year. I love that trip; it’s a real disconnect and just pure relaxation. It is also super to be able to hang out with Nadine and the kids. The kids are growing up fast now as well. Chris is joining me for the first week of the trip and we will go into the city, visit some nice restaurants and shop.

Daragh is nearly finished with college for the Summer. He is heading off to the States and already has a job lined up. He will be four hours away from New York. As you know we take a Summer holiday every year and this year we are going on a cruise out of Miami. We spend one night in Miami before sailing off. Caroline sorted everything out for me again. We are doing the Southern Caribbean, visiting the Dominican Republic, St. Barts and St. Thomas. Since we’ve never done this before, I’m really looking forward to it. It is great that he still wants to go on holidays with me and I enjoy spending time with him. For so long it was just the two of us and those were very special times. We went on holiday with him every year when he was small, so it’s great to be able to do this with him now as an adult. Long may it last. I will take you along with me and post some photos.

This will be my first Summer in the new house and I am so excited for it. The flowers and trees are starting to bloom and the garden is really taking shape. I moved in during the Winter so I am only now starting to see the garden in bloom. Roll on high Summer so I can see more. Chris will get the BBQ out now, moving the cooking from indoors to outdoors. As usual, I will continue to set the table and wash up. I am very good at the cleaning and preparation, but don’t ask me to cook. Why break a lifelong habit lol….

I’m launching my raincoats this month, girls. I know so many of you are waiting for them. They are amazing if I do say so myself. They are 100% waterproof with glued seams. This is why they take a little longer. They are ideal for walking, pitch-side, and those Spring/Summer showers that we are too accustomed to in Ireland. They are stylish yet functional and let me tell you, you will absolutely love them. We worked on these for two years, and they will be available in four different colour ways. I genuinely love them and cannot wait to launch them. This product really excites me, and I cannot wait for the feedback. I also have my Tencel trousers launching. They have the same shape as our classic flat front trousers. They have an elasticated back and invisible pockets. They are very flattering, and I know you all love this shape. They work for everybody’s shape, and that’s what makes them so successful. I have launched these trousers in many colours in this style. My caramel napa leather shoulder bags and chalk Summer Clutch will also launch very soon. I just need to confirm the exact dates but I will keep you posted on my stories girls.

Moving on to Cosmetics… April flew by, fast as always but packed with so many highlights at Lisa & Co Cosmetics. Our top sellers came as no surprise: Five Second Eyes and our UV Primer SPF 50 were flying (we were all delighted to see that sunshine but skin protection is key) alongside our Anti Redness Primer, Skin Luxe and Soft Focus Concealer. I loved seeing so many of your messages saying these were your go-to staples for the Confirmations, especially Five Second Eyes for those quick but stunning looks.

I also pushed myself out of my comfort zone with another photoshoot, this time on my own. It’s still not my favourite, but I’m definitely getting more comfortable with it. We created a video on the Cleansing Oil too, and honestly, it turned out so well. With travel and holidays on everyone’s mind, we’ve launched a gorgeous bundle — our Cleansing Oil with a complimentary 30ml travel size.
